We all fall into a rut sometimes when we continue to do the same thing over and over again. Your body gets into a rut when you continue to do the same form of cardio exercise over and over again.
Change it Up! No matter what weather is, do something different outside.
Here are some things to consider to shake things up a little:
- Snow Shoe
- Cross Country Ski
- Down Hill Ski
- Snow Board
- Ice Skate
- Ride your bike.
- Hike a trail (ideally with some incline).
- Roller Blade
- Hula Hoop
- Jump on the kids Pogo Stick (they seem to be coming back in style)
- Pull the kids around the yard in the wagon.
- Water activities – Water Running, Swimming, treading water, some form of cardio in the pool
If you do all your working out in the gym, then it is time to try a new piece of cardio equipment. A simple change of splitting your cardio session into two 15 minute sessions on two pieces of equipment will make a difference.
Your body will react to the change in a positive way.
